Lion King
Lyceum Theatre – Covent Garden, London.
With only a passion for animals, a strong sense of romance and a love of wildlife, I set off with a spring in my step, feeling full of excitement and an-trepidation, as I prepared to see “Lion King” with my Fiance, his Birthday Treat.
There was a huge surprise in store for me!! The atmosphere of the jungle came to life, with cultural music and a brilliant portrayal of the animal kingdom, using both spectacular and original imagery. This in turn unleashes a powerful, romantic, sad tragic and compounding story of Simbar the lion cub, through to his eventual role of The King of the Pridelands. The story of Simbar and his family and friends are told with both passion and conviction.
To give away things would be cruel, however, not such a misdemeanour, as if you decline the opportunity to watch a sheer masterpiece of a production! I think even animal haters may have to re – address certain issues and accept that you really can’t dismiss them all that easily out of hand.
The timing of the acts was fantastic, told from the heart, in a true Disney – Type production, meaning adults and children alike are truly captured, from a story simply told from the heart, but yet the show is simply amazing.
Seize the opportunity, go on, spoil yourself. You know you want to!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Catch you soon

I haven’t seen the play yet but did watch the Disney version of it… I love the music they have for the play I’m almost always listening to it on my Ipod. I would love to see the play and can’t wait till I have the time and the money to go see it.
