To Anyone Who Likes Anime and Manga
Anime & manga is almost a part of our daily lives, however, have you ever wondered about the process of how it became to be? The creator, the story behind it? Only today, did I begin to fully appreciate the magic of their creations.
Perhaps I’m a little conceited, not very broad-minded, nevertheless this is what I comprehended.
Don’t you reckon that Manga artists are great? They possess the superior skills to etch emotions & hidden feelings into drawings, which in turn, brings a character to life.
I am envious of their ability to bring life to plain paper & ink. Every single line, shades and sketches which are intelligible scribbles individually are combined together to show an emotion, to create an ambience, to tell a story.
All these while, when I was reading manga or watching anime, it never really crossed my mind about the magic and miracles performed behind the scenes.
Of course, I have wondered before how manga, which originated in paper & ink, could be converted into what we witness on television & computers these days, the real live action of anime. However, what I have overlooked was not the current technology of sciences, but the rich culture & history of art.
I’ve been a fan of anime and manga ever since I was little, but only today, did I finally realized the brilliance of manga.
Why is it that when we read manga, we get touched, we feel amused, we get angered and we shed tears?
This all comes down to the flair of a manga artist.
We all agree that anybody could draw and write. Though, how many of us have the unique capability to etch feelings into our drawings & writings? I regret to say that I’m one of the unfortunate, I tried and tried, but it never seemed right. My drawings are always short of lustre and life, perhaps what I lack is that talent.
Bet that most of you have heard that eyes are the windows to a being’s inner soul, manga is no different. This is something I find most fascinating.
If one is observant, you could actually spot that each character in a manga has their respective traits. The characters’ eyes could portray strength, determination, sadness, disappointment & fear, even without words, your soul will be able to resonate with those expressions. It is not an easy feat, which is why I have my respects to all manga artists.
Once again, I would like to extend my appreciation to all past, present and future manga artists. I would like to salute, the people with this spectacular gift of capturing time, beauty and emotions, granting it an eternity to life.
I can’t thank you enough for introducing the gift of manga & anime to the world.

I’m also another Manga and Anime fan, and i do love the drawings! I also find them so full of life, and am disappointed when my drawings seem un-perfect as it were. I think that all the manga artists in the world are just amazing, because to be fair i just can’t get enough of their amazing drawings!
