A guide to Legoland at Windsor.

WE have are been junior Wren’s and Brunel’s, thanks to Lego and a visit to Legoland Windsor brings all this construction back to us.  Legoland Windsor is full of rides, challenges, adventures and excitement.

A major part of the centre is Miniland, where almost 40 million bricks have been used to recreate many famous landmarks in miniature.

Explorers can leap into an off-roader and go on a Dino Safari, deep in Jurassic Jungle, searching for Lego brick dinosaurs.

There is the Fire Academy, where visitors put all hands to the pumps after boarding the fire engine or they could go to the driving school.

Johnny Thunder presents his spectacular live action show: The Secret of Scorpion Place.  Heroes and Heroines are needed at the Spellbreaker 4D Movie where they can join the heroic blacksmith on his desperate search to rescue his beloved princess from the hands of the evil wizard.  Legoland wants brave young knights to help tame the fearsome dragon.

Jungle Coaster is the scariest of all Legoland’s many exciting rides.  Visitors are able to take the plunge over Pirate Falls.  They can enter the Land of the Vikings and take a wild voyage on the Viking’s River Splash Ride, There is the Spinning Spider and the Hill train, which goes around most of the park.

Loki’s Labyrinth is near Longboat Invader.  This island has the Creative Centre, Imagination Theatre, Build and Test workshop, Discovery Zone, Mindstorm and the Space Tower.

There are many food places, ranging from coffee shops through Burger BBQ ti the Big Restaurant scattered throughout the park as well as guest services.  Legoland Windsor has a number of shops as well.

A series of special events are staged throughout the year.

The Educational workshops support the Nation Curriculum is such fields as design and technology, IT and science.

Legoland Windsor has different opening times and is closed on some days of the year, so it is advisable to check on these before your visit.

There is absolutely marvellous disabled access and St Leonard’s Mansion is available for corporate hospitality and other events
