Top Three Tallest Buildings in The World
The three world’s tallest buildings to date.
Over the years, debates have been made to find out the world’s tallest buildings. For some reason people have become fascinated with finding out the facts and the names to this question. But, what specifications determines what building is actually the tallest? Lets take a look.
Burj Dubai. This tall skyscraper has topped the charts as the tallest man made building in the world. It’s located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Burj is still in construction and it’s been that way since September 21, 2004. It is scheduled to be finished at the end of this year (2009). The building was inspired by desert flowers featured in Isalmic architecture patterns and worth an estimated $4.1 billion; standing at 2,684 feet.
Next up is KVLY-TV Mast. I believe some of you have heard of this building. It’s most known as an television transmitting mast; located in North Dakota. It stands 2,063 feet tall. KVLY is no longer the world’s tallest structure legally built because once the construction on the Burj is finished this year; it will surpass this Mast in height.
Lastly, the Guangzhou TV & Sightseeing Tower. This tower is located in the Haizhu District in China. It’s supposed to be completed at the end of this year and fully operated in the beginning of 2010. The 2010 Asian games are supposed to be held there; so hopefully they get it done by then. Guangshou stands at 2,001 feet.
It’s seems there is only one specification. The building has to be tall no matter how skinny in width they might be.
