The Dome is in the shape of a Byzantine martyrium, a structure intended for the housing and veneration of saintly relics, and is an excellent example of middle Byzantine art. Taj Mahal’s white domed marble is its most familiar component. The Taj Mahal, a mausoleum is located in Agra, India, built by Muhal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements from Indian and Islamic architectural styles, especially those of Persia and Turkey. In 1983, the Taj Mahal became a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was cited as “the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage.” Building began around 1632 and was completed around 1653, and employed thousands of artisans and craftsmen.

These architectural designs are all great and of great religious significance to mankind.

Wow, impressive structures! Well done piece.
Most amazing is how old a lot of these structures are, and how difficult it is to construct a dome building, even today.
Thanks,
Clay
