Epicurean Art: Amazing Food Tattoos
For some foodies, simply eating or preparing food is just not enough. Having their favorite foods or kitchen gadgets immortalized on their bodies seems to be the way to go.
Kitchen Aid Mixer

Kitchen Aid appliances are my very favorite, but this one is truly amazing. I wonder if it cost more than the real thing. Whatever the cost, he must really love his mixer. I think I`ll just admire mine from the counter though.
Angry Vegetables

When I look at this tattoo, I can imagine the wearer as a child, sitting at the table and feeding his vegetables to the family dog. Or maybe he didn`t get enough veggies?
Your Basic Food Groups

Now this guy had the right idea. What a great alternative to the boring old food pyramid! Not only do all of the food groups seem to be included in this tattoo, it also shows the different cuts of pork. I think this one is brilliant.
Corn-Fed Tattoo

This is quite the elaborate piece for an ear of corn to be the focal point. Perhaps this is her way of supporting local farming communities. Nice idea if that is what it is. I only have a shirt that reads “farms feed cities”
Cupcakes

Could there be a message here? Not everything that tastes good is good for you? Never the less…who doesn`t like cupcakes?
Ice Cream

I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream. I wonder if she screamed while this tattoo was being done? I know I would have.
Hot Dog

Although I won`t put a hot dog in my mouth, I admire anyone with this much passion. Squeeze bottle of ketchup, $1.49, tattoo $200.00, hot dog wearing a tuxedo…priceless.
Pizza

Now this is my kind of food. Gooey, dripping pizza served by a pot bellied Italian chef…can`t get much better than that. The monkey is sure enjoying it.
Knives

They say that every great chef carries a spoon with them just in case they have to taste something, so why not carry your knives as well?
Chilies

Some like it hot. I`m thinking that this guy must eat the same way that I do to have a tattoo like this one. Chilies on just about everything.

This is a fun article. Talk about having food on the brain. I like the pig food group tatoo.

Are people crazy or what? I can’t imagine anyone walking around with their body painted up like a cartoon. These folks must think it looks good though,so to each his own.

I really dig this one, Laurie. My ex is covered in tats, he would go crazy over this! Where DO you get your ideas?

Never been fond of tats that much, but love my food – so this kinda gets my vote!

These are some interesting drawings – but to have them permanently marked on my body – NOT! Great article.
