Messages in Water: What Does Your Tattoo Say About You?
Anyone familiar with the work of Dr. Masaru Emoto will understand the importance of the quality of the water that we put into our body and how it can affect us.

Dr Masaru Emoto printed out words onto pieces of paper, pasted them onto a clear bottle and froze the contents. This allowed the vibration of the actual words to become imprinted in the ice crystals that consequently formed. When viewed through specialist magnifying equipment, words and positive affirmations, such as, “Love”, “Happiness” and “Gratitude” formed beautiful perfect snowflake patterns. Words with negative connotations such as “Hate”, “War” and “You fool” went on to form ugly distorted images, many unable to form clear crystalline shapes. Water which had been prayed over in an experiment also formed beautiful crystal formations. Distance doesn’t appear to be a barrier either as people from one country can affect water from another one, proving that at the most basic level we are all connected. As our body weight is made up over 70% water, it really makes me wonder just what effect the kind of words we use when speaking to one another is having on our physical and spiritual well being.
The Kabbalah centre sells water that has been charged with specific God Names to increase health and well being, but we can do a similar thing ourselves. By taking a bottle of water we too can tape to it a message, or an affirmation, allow it to take affect for a little while before drinking it. There are no limitations to how we can use this in our lives. If you are feeling ill you could tape a message saying “Healing Water”. If you are feeling stressed how about one saying “I am calm and relaxed”? Water is such a powerful conduit for energy, even gem or crystals elixirs utilise similar methods, and forms the basis of the practise Homeopathy. I have found through experimentation that it can even change the taste of the water. I have used some of the Reiki symbols with water and it left the water slightly carbonated and tasting just like a soluble aspirin had been added to it. It worked just the same too!
Taking this one step further and turning our attention to the growing popularity of tattoos. These specialist marking were once used to convey specific meanings, the tribe or clan the individual belonged to, and their position or rank. Nowadays people seem to think nothing of adorning their bodies with skulls dripping with blood, negative words, scenes or characters from horror movies. I wonder just what affect this will have on them; will it make them angrier, moody, depressed, and violent?
A couple of years ago while watching GMTV their Hollywood correspondent, Carla Romano, mentioned that a while ago she had a tattoo done of the Chinese symbol for Good Luck. She went on to report that since she had it done her career zoomed and she is now incredibly successful, rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous on a daily basis and living a full and very happy life. Could this be a coincidence or something more? She certainly believed that there was a connection.
This lead me to think about what had drawn me to my choice of tattoos A few weeks after I miscarried my first daughter I had a tattoo of a butterfly done on my ankle as a kind of remembrance of her. For many months to come after I had it done I would see butterflies everywhere, not just real ones, for there were plenty of those, but on TV, adverts, magazines etc. What really stunned me was one very cold snowy winters day I was stood by a tree I had planted for her when a gorgeous Red Admiral fluttered around me for a almost a minute, then vanished out of sight over the hedge. As butterflies are symbolic of renewal and remembrance, metamorphosis and transformation, did the tattoo trigger this? Was it my daughter’s way of saying she had moved on and that I should too? It seems that not only should we be aware of what we eat & drink but also what we put on our bodies too.
I also have a tattoo of a ladybird, which is a symbol of good luck. Well all I can say to this is that I have certainly been helped through my fair share of scrapes and when solutions to a challenge seemed impossibly out of reach, the right person or thing popped up just at the right time. So I believe that for myself I have chosen intuitively what was best needed to guide me through my life’s journey. I recently added the OM symbol in my quest to live my life more in the flow of the universe.
