Deresolution: An Urban Parable, by Chad Moore

For avid readers who enjoy the undiscovered talents of gifted independent writers.

There is a certain quality; a certain extraordinary element to writing that grabs my attention, takes me to another level wanting more; captures my interest and I have to read more. There are only certain authors who have successfully accomplished this feat for me.

As he has done for many readers, for one, F. Scott Fitzgerald, with his genuine, honest, unparalleled talents, has accomplished this feat in such timeless pieces as This Side of Paradise and The Great Gatsby .

Fitzgerald’s writing has personally left me, feeling as though I was there with him, sitting on the hay stack that night when the storm was rolling in, or pondering life in college in such a way that every detail, every thought in my mind was profound, not because each word could change the world, but because each word was completely authentic, each thought, was uniquely my own; and this was how I could change the world; this was how he managed to change the world.

In this same circle, I would place Chad Moore, a new aspiring author of Deresolution: An Urban Parable . This story has a feel of James Dean meets Underworld: a crisp, cool city vibe that cannot help but grab the readers’ attention.

With Moore ’s sharp, edgy details, every flick of the wrist, turn of a corner, sway of pulsing lights – the city vibe is documented, is given attention. His writing, like a picture, does not leave out a single detail, and is surreptitiously able to take scenes to an even higher level with details that make the reader feel as though one can touch; taste and even smell the grime of back alley smoke chats, and club hoppers sweat glistening, undulating forms.

The steady tempo of music throughout his scenes and the brilliant interplay of details and conversation works to create a drug induced feeling that allows the reader a glimpse of the truest account of what the underground world of club life looks like, feels and is.

Chad has completed chapter eight in, Deresolution: An Urban Parable , and leaves the reader still wondering what will happen next, still craving, needing to know more. His characters, his scenes, left in your memory, left to your imagination, and you are left to wonder, you want to know how it will end, and yet you don’t want it to. This is the rare quality of writing that only the most gifted of authors is able to accomplish.
