The Longest Running Magic Show Tour in American History
There was a magic show that ran from May until August 1980, a whole four months! No other magic show in America has run that long even today! Who is this legendary magician?
Harry Blackstone Jr was the lengendary magician who ran a magic show tour from May to August in 1980 at the Majestic Theatre in Manhattan. The TV commercials aired everyday that summer nationwide to promote the magic show tour. The most famous magic tricks featured in that magic show were the following:
1. Floating Light Bulb:

This magic trick captivated audiences because Blackstone made the light bulb float in front of the audience! Members of the audience tried to detect if the trick was fake by trying to feel any invisible strings attached to the light bulb: but there were none! Their hands would pass through without resistance all around the floating bulb! Blackstone reassured the audience the trick was REAL. Audiences were shocked in disbelief.
2. Sawing lady in half

The buzz saw was huge and sharp! The trick seemed real! The apparatus looked like something from the movie Saw! Captivated audiences indeed!
3. Ladies Turn Into Tigers

ABRACADABRA!
This magic trick consisted of 5 to 7 young pretty sexy big butt ladies of different races wearing skimpy thong outfits who stepped into a cage. Blackstone would cover the cage with a sheet and say some magic words waving his wand. Then the sheet was removed, and 5 to 7 tigers was there with the skimpy thong bikini, bra, and sandal slippers ripped up! Evidence that the ladies truly transformed into tigers, just like David Banner transformed into the Hulk, ripping all his clothes and shoes in the transformation sequence.
Below is the official playbill for the magic show tour. Notice the transformation sequence of the lady as she turns into a tiger! “Oooooh!” indeed! At least we know how the lady turned into a tiger as the sheet covered the cage!

Truly the most legendary magic show in American history!

Really great. Interesting article. I never would have guessed that just 4 months would be enough to hold the record for longest running magic show. Really cool info.
