For many years now, I have been a big fan of photograpy. Now , I feel that I am ready to take my next big leap – into being a professional. Everyone has been telling me that in professional photography, it is more of what you do than who you are. So far, I have already done a few gigs that paid me. Still, I am enthralled by the glamor of a photographer’s world – to capture life from a glitzy party to a world event. For three years now, I cannot get these images out of my head. In fact, I have become a bit obsessed with photography.

I have tried my very best to keep abreast with the photography as a trade, and have even invested in some professional gear. I read virtually all American photo magazines that I coould find. I even subscribed to one, and read in during my spare time. I see American photo magazines as the avenue in fulfilling my passion. I get giddy with excitement when I come home to a brand new copy of American photo magazines peeking out of my mailbox. I almost get teary eyed as I think of the prospect of a professional career in the thrilling world of photography. I realize that there’s so much competition for a handful of jobs, but I just cannot help but dream of a successful career every time I tear open an American photo magazine.

American photo magazines contain articles that have made me realize that making the transition to professional is not easy. Many have complimented me that I have a good eye, from my mom to an art teacher back in high school. Still, as American photo magazines suggest, you also need a bit of good luck your way as well as an eye for photography to make it in this industry. I know that I already have a keen eye for capturing moments, and I’ve been working on improving my technique. I just need to wait for luck to come my way.
