How to Look Good in Photo’s Every Time
Sick of happy days being spoilt by bad photo’s? Follow this guide to ensure you never look bad in a photo again.
- Do practise in front of the mirror. The more you do something the more naturally it will come to you when needed.
- Don’t face the camera straight on. Twist your body a little to get a smoother silhouette.
- Do be natural. Striking an awkward pose or trying to pout just looks wrong. Do your best to relax in front of the camera and have fun. Think of something funny to get a natural smile.
- Don’t try any crazy poses, you’ll just look silly. Natural but poised is the way to go.
- Do smile past the camera. Figure out your best angle and present it to the photographer while looking off to the side – it will seem as though you didn’t even know you were being photographed.
- Don’t get drunk before picture time. It’s hard to take a good picture when you’ve lost control.
- Do look just above the camera. No more red-eyes. Jackie O swore by this tip.
- Don’t pout. You’ll look mean and angry, not sexy and mysterious.
- Do look at pictures of celebrities on the red carpet to get some ideas for simple poses.
- Don’t slouch. Good posture is your best weapon.
- Do breathe. You might be tempted to suck it all in, but that’s what Spanx is for. If you don’t breathe you’ll just look uncomfortable.
- Don’t keep your arms tightly at your sides. You’ll look like a robot. Keep the body relaxed and don’t tense up just before the camera clicks.
