Just by being patient and taking photographs from other angles, a suitable photo can be attained.

Taking a good photograph can often be a tricky affair with things not always going to plan especially if it involves children or animals. Often the best shots are those that happen spontaneously and you just happen to be in the right spot at the right time. Some of the photo journalists find that the best shots are the ones that happen in the split second without any pre planning or conscious thoughts.

In my experience, I have found that taking several shots of the same scene very beneficial and less disappointing most of the time. Somewhere in the photographs that have been taken will be one that is good or much better that the rest. I love the digital camera for that very reason; you can be more selective and view the photographs without having to print them first. This makes a big difference if you are creating an album or scrapbook.

My camera comes with me everywhere as you just don’t know when a photo opportunity will happen. The camera I use is the Sony Cybershot DSC-P72, this is a great camera and I recommend this product. It has been very reliable and takes very clear, beautiful photographs. I find it more beneficial to take a better shot the first time rather than using photoshop or other editing programmes to “fix” a photo as that can teach you new skills.

Just by being patient and taking photographs from other angles, a suitable or salable photo can be attained. There was five minutes time difference between these two photographs. One of these pictures is definitely a bit better than the other. What you put in the background also has a big impact on the finished product. You can take several pictures from different angles and all it costs is time and maybe another memory stick.

It was great to see you posting two different pictures to compare. We, hands-on-learners need visuals for things to just ‘make sense’. Thank you Lucy! Enjoyed your article. I too, am a fanatic photographer!

God bless! WWJD <

The best advice is as you say keep your camera with you all the time. With a digital camera it doesn’t cost anything if you reject them afterwards and you can get some real gems.

You are so right. The moment of capture is your skill and noone else will have your vision…so thinkl about it first. Thanks Lucy.

I am inspired by your photography abilities, my envy has pushed me to give it a try! I would love to get a good picture of my puppy, every time I think “this will be a great picture,” she sees the camera and runs(?) Subsequently No Picture…she really is funny and at the same time annoying! I think I’ll stick with it, maybe I’ll get lucky.

Your Pictures are great and advice very helpful, thanks

I just had to re-visit this informative personal experience document. Again, your writing alone is worth it. Hope this doesn’t overly inflate your ego too much. If so, who knows what might happen in this world…for the good. Thanks again.
