There is a project out there to photograph people as they are and there ought to be more. I myself went through a nude scene once in a film and remember the liberating feeling I had after that. I realized that it was senseless to be discomforted with how I look in public after all we are all born bare and then cover ourselves constantly.

But the point here is not to rave about nudism it is to respect the body in all its forms and there are plenty out there. What makes matters interesting is that indirectly the photographer helps the individual accept himself by seeing that there is nothing wrong with showing what your body is like even though there have been mental traumas in the past or physical injuries that are very visual. It all has to do with how one sees oneself and so this is an exercise in being comfortable with your own body. The subjects to be photographed are of all races, ages heights and weights and there is no need to be beautiful or handsome, cute or pretty. Some people have returned for more photos of themselves that can be put into their own collection or a book.
