Seven Spectacular Cityscapes

Seven Spectacular Cityscapes

We usually don’t associate cities with beauty, these awe-inspiring pictures are guaranteed to change the way we perceive the forests of concrete.

We exploit, we slaughter and we’re probably the most destructive species that’ll ever walk the planet, but nothing amazes the human imagination like the wonders we’ve created. Here’s a glimpse at some of the most exquisite cityscapes you’ll ever see..!

Tehran , Iran

The middle-east isn’t well known for its amazing photography, the above shot of the Modarres & Hemmat junction inspires us to co-exist with nature. The differing shades of blue vs green make this picture truly exceptional!

Stockholm, Sweden

Taken across the Riddarholmsfjärden with heavy rainclouds festring over the city. The crisp details and the smooth sheet of calm water makes me wish I should have been there..

Tokyo, Japan

One of the busiest metropolitan cities in Asia. The picture taken from atop Roppongi Hills Mori building during a rain storm is a visual masterpiece!

Taipei, Taiwan

The picture is of the plaza of Kaitakelan taken on 14th September 2006. It was taken before the campaign aimed at making President Shui-bian resign over a series of corruption scandals. A journalistic picture that is as spectacular as it is patriotic..

Chicago, Illinois, United States

Cloud Gate is a public sculpture by Anish Kapoor in Millennium Park, Chicago. The sculpture is also popularly known as “The Bean” because of its shape. The amazing shot gives us a distorted artsy view of the Chicago skyline.

London, UK

A beautiful aerial view of the English capital. The bright colors and the marvellous architecture are pure wonder!

Rio de Janiero, Brazil

A spectacular aerial view of the Rodrigo de Freitas. The city looks stunning, as if lit up by the glow of a million fireflies!

While these are great, truly great, I was hoping to see Manhattan. Bit it’s a choice or maybe you’re saving it for another? Excellent. Michael

Nice. Lving here in Toronto, our largest, tallest structure is the CN Tower. You can see it from just about everywhere (except of course, unless you are IN the CN Tower!)
I’ve been up in the Observation Desk several times, from there you can see Buffalo, NY across the lake Ontario on a clear, windless day (the wind chops-up the waves and obfuscates the visibility of land sometimes..)

Nice write. Kewl pics.
