Drawing on the Other Side of the Brain

Three simple things on how to learn how to draw.

Have you been trying to learn how to draw  but can’t seem to be able to do it? Theres a book called Drawing on the right side of the brain. If can’t afford the book I’ll teach you haw to focus onto the left side of the brain. If you are left handed it might not be too difficult, it you are right handed it maybe a little more difficult.

To start you need to get rif=d of all distractions and turn on some soft music. It doesn’t need to be classical soft rock or r and b would work too. The take a sheet of paper large piece of scrap will work just fine.  Take a sharp #2 pencil and without lifting the graphite off the paper draw your hand the best you can. This is just a warm up it does’t have to be perfect it may not even look like a hand but that’s ok.

After that warm up do it again but this time don’t look at your pencil try to visualize the line in your head as you draw it.

Once you are done take a magazine ad one with a symmetrical face on it. Cut that face in half and put one half aside face down. Get a good piece of paper this time and tape the top and the bottom of the face to the paper. Then draw the other half of the face using the ad that is taped to you r piece of paper. This exercise is designed to teach you proportion of the face you could do the same with a symmetrical body also.

Now a basic art lesson. Is that everything has shapes in it. A car has circles and square, triangles etc. you just need to look for the shape s their detection does not come naturally to everyone. So give it a try

Ive jusr given you the basic steps to become a real artist soon you won’t need to have drawing books anymore good luck.

Interesting article. I’ve browsed through various How To Draw books, and many show the circles, triangles, and squares that make up so many items without our even being aware of it!
Maybe before we can learn to draw, we have to relearn how to see things! :)
