How to Draw Hair Manga Style

Short-ish tutorial for drawing hair.

Hair.

Strands of dead skin resting on heads and are considered beautiful.

Of course, because its part of our creation.

The question is, How Do You Draw Them?

I have no idea how to explain. Instead, I’ll see if I can give helpful tips and amazing examples.

Thus, I quickly formed a tutorial with sketches of hair styles.

Simple straight hair. This is just a simple outline of how hair can be drawn. You chould add less hair lines. Or more.

Exactly like the straight hair, except with the bangs clipped up. This looks amazing on many people.

Bangs.

I decided to draw a version of where there are less lines. Nice example?

Bangs clipped directly up. I know this can be rather hard to draw because of the hair line. You just add a few lines like this: //////. But make it kind of messier and make breaks: //// // //// //

Finally, I had wanted to talk about curly hair the most. You need to make them bouncy looking and free. There are many ways to draw them.

I have a feeling this won’t help much. This is mainly and introduction for me to share about regular manga. I soon will publish a How To Draw Manga article. There, I will share about how to draw several styles. Hair, Clothing, and more will be shared.

Thanks for the drawing tips! I love drawing manga hair, most of the time i just end up drawing manga faces because i like making the expressions and the hair always looks good. I always have trouble with the body of the person though…n e tips?

Hey okay so i just really needed help with the hair.. isn’t there a simpler form of drawing the hair?
your other tutorial was more helpful maybe help with the body too?

Why hair sample you provided very rough? I need completed hair sample from front-left-back-above- and 3 demensional view.. hope u can do it.. i’m waiting..

i think the pink whats ok, it helped to see the black better.
