Here’s a few ways to get some ideas!

Nature

who cannot avoid going to a very quiet peaceful setting (like the park or the beach) where their are no people around, with a gentle breeze, and the gentle sounds of moving waves (I think it’s best to go out early in the mornings). Nature has been in art, even in cave paintings! Nature calms the soul and gives a alot of artists ideas!

Gaming

Gaming is now the most biggest way of ideas to come from.

This also includes TV and Internet (like here on Triond!). To name a few that gave me my inspiration: Guaren laguann (Japanese anime about people that live underground due to mechanized monsters that live on the surface and fate falls to a young boy named Simon that finds a key to an ancient mech named Guaren that ensues into a quest to save not just earth but eventually the universe!), Final Fantasy series, etc (check out my gaming list). This cannot be complete without World of Warcraft! (I used to play it, but I’ll never forget my experiences I had there)

I haven’t raided much (My guild does 2 raids: Stratholme and Karazhan), but the battles, monsters, and armor I really like!

If gaming doesn’t get the creative juices going, then try to do things that appeal to you! Simple interests can easily spark new creativity or try new things! Some times creative ideas would just come out of no where! It happens often to me when I explore or look at my surroundings, I can remember one time I was on the bus and saw dew in the window and as I stared at it…..it began to look more and more like a wizard battling a dragon! It’s always good to keep pencil and paper ready, now matter where you go, so that you can get down your idea when the moment does arise. By keeping record of them, you’ll never forget about them and sometimes the end results in even more! Let your imagination run wild!

Lifes Experiences

Ideas can even come from just plain ordinary things we would see such as : unique pieces of furniture, other art, Writing and reading. Some times things come from your own imagination!

It’s hard to make new articles, I struggled knowing that many people already have had the same ideas that I had. Thinking of how people already made everything I can think of tends to throw my creativity off. Try to think positively, Never give up and keep publishing, sometimes it’s a matter of simply changing your contents title if it won’t publish. May your ideas lead you to places and have fun!
