Romero Britto: A Talented Artist
"Being an artist is a gift." You just don’t decide on being one. You are born as one. And you die as one." Romero Britto.
An Acrylic and oil pen on canvas portrait of Snow White caught my attention as I walked towards Lincoln Road Mall on Sunday afternoon. Next to Snow White hung a 27″ Aluminum sculpture valued at $15,000. Also known as The Big Apple, which Snow White ate and got poisoned with.
Romero Brit to is a Brazilian neo-pop wall decorator, painter, serigraph er, and sculptor. He combines stereotyped elements of cubism, pop art and graffiti painting in his work. He is known for his contemporary work. Brit to currently lives in Miami, Florida, where his work can be seen in many parts around the world.
Brit to Central is located on 818 Lincoln Road in Miami, Beach Florida. Romero Brit-to is the artist and creator of these beautiful design sculptures. Below is Romero Britto’s quote on Portrait Paintings.
“I believe that every human being should try to do good for someone else. There are so many different ways to do it, My art can be an instrument for helping people. What a good feeling that I can do that with my art.”
My photographer took pictures of several sculptures around the gallery. Meanwhile, I opened my purse and grabbed my notepad and pen. This is definitely a story that I am going to write about. There’s something about art galleries and museums that inspires me to write.
To the right of the gallery, are several Brit to Handbags. The heart shaped bag, butterfly and landscape sculptures are worth $1400.
Another lovely sculpture was a 27″inch Flower Pot Enamel on Aluminum. This sculpture hung on the wall is worth $14,000.
I asked a guy who was glancing at the sculptures what his favorite sculpture was and he said The Wizard of Oz because it has a beautiful animation.
