The Open Exhibit
Talents are being shown. Rubbish are never wasted.
Several creative works filled Montano Hall, February 13. The imaginative works of both elementary and high school students of EPP and TLE classes conquered the open exhibit. The works of art aims to encourage each student to improvise entrepreneurship out of their talents and the subjects they are taking. Through EPP -and TLE classes, young capitalists can make business out of it.
New products are being made out of cheap and reutilized materials. Talents are being harnessed. Imagine the results of application of EPP and TLE! The sight was awe-striking. Despite the extreme heat felt in the Montano Hall, tourists will still try hard to get in and have a view of the wonderfully made yields of young industrialists.
Enthrallment fills your eyes with the enormous area captivated from Cavite National High School as its students’ forte were put on display in the open. The little tour led from the several bookmarks and CD burns stand to the improvised egg beaters and inventive fans made out of recycled plastic bottles. There were also improvised musical instruments and household wares made from indigenous materials. Several art signs were also spotted. The grandiose models of houses with its blueprint were also posted. These really prove that gold can really be made out of junk.
The paintings on canvass from Sangley Point National High School were very catchy since it was like the works of real and professional painters. Passion pierces through your eyes as skill and oil were being mixed out of the painters’ hands. The majestic mosaics were incredible, with its flashy colors and abstract design. The booth concentrated mainly on drafting.
While the high school booths showed impressive works, the elementary booth can not be left out of the spark. Decorative stuffs were the most that can be viewed from the elementary booths. Some were made from indigenous materials like the tahong shells. There were homemade coconut jams, and other homespun light snacks, too. Hybrid plants for landscaping, improvised water heater, and other electrical outlets were some that ruled over the booths.
Therefore if we take a broad view, this open exhibit does not only display the beguiling works of students but also encourages everyone to recycle, re-use, and reduce. So many remnants that can later be a humongous problem remain not only in our country but to the whole world. Instead of throwing these away triggering the pollutants in the planet, each can help save the Earth. Indigenous merchandise can be crafted from this rubbish.
The open exhibit is a model of preserving Mother Earth. Conserve energy through the use of indigenous produce. Through the application of EPP and TLE, you can contribute to Earth’s betterment, and also make yourself richer by selling these restructured materials. We may not know it, but a successful interior designer, a computer wizard, an ingenious artist, or an inventive scrap maker might be on the making.
