If you are having a Bachelor party for your friend, then consider getting him and yourself one of the many available Bachelor party shirts.

If you are taking your buddy out on the night before his wedding, consider getting him one of the many Bachelor party shirts available today. These shirts let everyone know that he’s a “dead man walking.” They may even get him a couple of rounds of drinks from men who have been there themselves. The great thing is that there is a wide variety of bachelor party shirts available.

Bachelor party shirts are generally T-shirts with phases associated with impending doom. For instance, one shirt says “Wanted: Free Shots and Lap Dances for Groom’s Last Night Out.”

Another gives a “checklist” for all of the things the groom must accomplish during his bachelor party. The shirt includes items such as “Dance with 2 women at the same time,” “Buy an ugly girl a drink” and “Get a girl’s phone number.”

Another bachelor party’s shirts also feature a checklist. But this one isn’t things he is supposed to cross off in one night. It’s the road he’s going down. It starts with “Lose my freedom” and “Hand over my balls” and continues to “gain weight” and “Lose hair.” It concludes with “Add to list forever.”

Some bachelor party shirts are simple rhymes like “Tying the knot, buy me a shot,” “Buy me a beer, the wedding is near,” or “Last fling before the ring.”

Others have fun plays on words. One features the dictionary definition of Bach-e-lor Par-ty (n): 1. Final Fling before the (suffer) Ring. Another says “Department of Corrections Inmate: Life Sentence – Marriage Without Parole.”

If you are having a bachelor party that doesn’t feature a drunken orgy, there are shirts for that too. For instance, a paint ball T-shirt says “You have 20 seconds bachelor to put this on and run” and features a target. If the party involves golfing, a nice white T-shirt with a simple label “groom” might be appropriate.

But it’s not just the groom that can get the bachelor party shirts. The organizer gets a shirt that says “Best Man…In So Many Ways.” Others in the party can get shirts that say “Bachelor Support Crew” or “Groom’s Posse.”

There are also “Father of the Bride” Bachelor Party Shirts. If this is the case, the party probably shouldn’t get out of hand!

Image via Wikipedia

Shirts can be custom made as well. The can feature the groom’s name or the location where the party took place. These might become souvenirs long after the event is over and the groom is married. When the event is over, the attendees may be handed “I survived Bobby’s Bachelor Party” as favors.

A description and tutorial on how it is possible to use the iPhone on Verizon's data network.

This tutorial will explain how to use the Apple iPhone on Verizon Wireless’ Data Network. This is useful for people who own the iPhone but have sketchy AT&T data coverage in their area and would like to connect to the internet via their iPhone.

To do this, all you need is your iPhone and the Verizon MiFi 2200 device. All you have to do is basically turn it on, and then connect your iPhone’s wifi network to it just like you would any other local area network. This works great for people who wish they had the iPhone on Verizon’s much speedier network.

The size of this device is smaller than the iPhone itself so it’s not a problem to travel with it. Not only can you use the iPhone on it, but you can also use your laptop or any other device with wifi capabilities. I know this is not the ideal way to use your iPhone, but it’s the best there is right now that allows the iPhone to be used on Verizon’s network.

Pricing

While this seems too good to be true, it pretty much is. Not because of the hassle it takes to connect to it, but because of the price tag that goes along with it. Below is the pricing chart that is advertised on Verizon’s website. As you can see, the cheapest plan is $15 and that only allows for one day of access (24 hours). For the 250 MB (Megabyte) monthly allowance, it is almost $40 (over $40 after taxes and fees).

Basically, these prices are a rip-off and not worth it considering we live in an age where almost everywhere has some sort of free or cheap wifi internet access. These prices don’t even include the price of the MiFi device itself! Below is the price listed on Verizon’s website…after rebates, it is still $100! This seems like a huge rip-off because you’re basically paying for 2 and a half months of service already before you even get to use it. They should offer it free when signing up for a plan because they’re still making extreme amounts of money from their plans!

Anyways, I hear about this on Cnet.com and I looked into it more to see if it was worth it for me to use for my iPhone and after heavy research, I definitely think this is a BAD idea….at least for me. I am sure that someone will find this device useful, but many will find this device useless!

This is a great way to get designer clothing for a fraction of the regular price.

Fashion designer warehouse sales are fun. You can get some incredible bargains, too. I have not only shopped these events, but I’ve worked at them as well, so I feel that I have enough experience with them at this point to give you a few pointers on how to get designer clothing at a substantial discount.

First of all, before you shop at one of these sales, do your research first. Familiarize yourself with the merchandise beforehand, not afterwards. If you don’t know what you’re buying and what it retails for, how will you know whether or not you’re getting a bargain? These are harsh words, but if you’re not familiar with a label, my advice to you is not to buy it at a warehouse sale.

Second, make a list of items you need before you walk into the sale. Try and avoid impulse-buying at these events – the sales are final, so you can’t return the items you buy or exchange them for other items. That red leather jacket may be really sexy, but do you need it? Is your husband going to threaten you with divorce when he sees it? Sometimes the thrill of getting a substantial discount on an item of designer clothing (sometimes as much as 75%) makes a shopper a little impulsive. As many sage people have noted, if you don’t need an item in the first place and you buy it on sale, it’s not really a bargain.

Third, once you’re at the sale, give yourself a little tour of the area in which you’re interested. Make sure you know where everything’s located before you get into the down-and-dirty of inspecting each and every item. And then head for the key areas on your list.

Fourth, if you want to try on clothing, be prepared to be a bit bold. Most of the warehouse sales I’ve shopped do not provide dressing rooms, so shoppers usually strip down to their underwear right there on the floor, often in front of hundreds of other shoppers. If you’re not prepared to do this, you will probably have to buy non-returnable clothing without knowing how it looks on you. That’s the down side of getting a $300 or $400 discount on a dress. Usually the people working at the sale can give you helpful hints on how to try on clothing discreetly, such as crouching behind a row of tables to pull on jeans or ducking behind a clothing rack full of clothing.

Fifth, consider the fact that you are probably not buying current-run merchandise. If you want to buy something that’s currently in fashion, you will have to pay retail (or somewhat close to it). If your warehouse sale is taking place in summer, for instance, you are buying the items the stores are clearing out to make way for the upcoming fall collection. In some cases, you will be seeing designer clothing from the most recent summer, spring and winter seasons all combined together. So consider whether or not the item you’re buying has “legs.” In other words, is it a classic? Will it most likely be in fashion for several years hence? If so, then go for it.

Fifth and last, before you buy the item, inspect it carefully. This goes again to the fact that it is non-returnable. Look for any stains that might be permanent, rips or tears, missing buttons, et cetera. This is your last shot, so make it a good attempt.

These sales are great opportunities to get designer clothing at a fraction of the regular price, so my advice is to definitely check them out. Just be careful and take a few precautions first. And then have fun!

A hip New York sneaker boutique.

Yes, another New York hot spot, but this one is backed up not by one, but 2 popular names. I’m sure you, urban art connoisseurs and sneaker heads, heard of Stash and Futura, right? Well, if you haven’t, they are world renowned graffiti/tag/street/graphic artists/designers. They are pretty much contemporary icons of the urban art scene, and together they formed Recon and Nort, a store where you can find both of their solid, provocative works, alongside their fall/winter 2008 capsule collection (for which they worked with Sweden’s WESC brand) of T-shirts, knitwear and denim, all featuring trademark art and graphics by Stash. From the spray paint touched walls to the cargo camo cover draped on the back staircase, this is no ordinary shop.

These 2 artists, Stash and Futura, have spread their art all over the globe. In January 2008 they launched the Colnago track bike frames, in Canada (where they also presented matching T-shirts/jerseys), on march 2008 they opened the “Look Ma No Brakes” art exhibition in Berlin (with special guest performances by Artoo and Clintwood) , in October they were in Zurich for the Bicycle Film Festival 2008, where their exhibition featured their works on legendary Master Pista steel track bike frames (they also had available limited messenger bags, T-shirts, caps, and accessories for exhibit visitors). On local plan, they won New York’s Nike 1 Vote contest, a Nike Air Force 1 must have, and the Recon/Nort Kobe Bryant MVP ’08 T-shirt (which was designed in honor of Kobe Bryant winning his long overdue Most Valuable Player award. This special edition T-shirt has NORT written across the chest in the Lakers colors with Kobe’s logo placed on the “O”).

The duo combines a clean, yet exciting design with quality in everything they create. New to their collection of exclusives is BNYCOnline, the latest collections from Nort/Recon. This collection offers all over print tees, featuring guns and money, in an unbelievable look. They are available in baby blue or red. They also have a cool tee with a fence graphic, in blue, white, and black, or a money crewneck in baby blue and grey, while their hoodies are available in green, baby blue, brown, and grey.

The store set up is sort of different, also. All the shoes in stock are behind a glass wall, allowing you to actually see what they have in the back. You don’t have to ask the employees if they have your size in stock. What you see is what they got. This is the place to go for rare Nikes nobody has, but while they have some of the hippest street wear and sneakers around, the selection for ladies is very, very limited.

Also available in the store are Nort Laces hats by Recon (with embroidery and sewn appliqués on navy New Era fitted hats), one of a kind sunglasses and limited and exclusive kicks, baseball caps and polos. At the checkout they give you a little backpack accessory, which is a nice touch.

After their first collaboration for the fall/winter collection, WESC and Stash are doing it again for spring 2009. Stronger than the first collection, in both quantity and quality, the new line consists of denim, t-shirts, knitwear, hoodies and windbreakers.

The floor to ceiling glass displays and slender white columns, the eclectic collection of general and limited-release Nike sneakers in a wide variety of funky styles, the colorful street wear, make this one of the best sneaker spots in New York city, and a must stop by for you.

Do babies really need to wear high heels?

“What!” I have to admit, was my first reaction when I heard about a website called Heelarious that was selling high heels for babies.

Intrigued, I did a search on the internet and quickly found the website only to discover that they do indeed sell high heels for babies.

I know what you’re thinking, what person in their right mind would put a baby in high heels! It almost seems like some form of child abuse. But after checking on the website I was relieved to find that they are not the type of high heels that you will find an adult wearing.

So what are they?

They are soft crib booties designed to look like high heels and come in sizes 0-6 months. The shoes retail for $35.00 and come in six different colors, hot pink, black, leopard print, black patent, zebra print, and hot pink satin. And are, I’ve heard selling out like crazy. They are even becoming popular with Hollywood and I’ve heard that Nicole Richie has a pair for her little girl. The soft shoes are for looks only and not meant for walking, if any weight is put on the heel it will collapse. And the babies that are wearing them are not of a walking age yet.

The shoes creators say that it’s all in fun and shouldn’t be taken seriously. But not everyone is thrilled with the idea of putting a baby in high heels. In fact the topic seems to be raising some pretty strong feelings in some people who have likened it to everything from dressing up your pets or a doll, to promoting teenage pregnancy. I personally think that it’s just another fad, that like all the others will simply pass. So what do you think about it?
