Five Amazing Yu-Gi-Oh Monsters

Five Amazing Yu-Gi-Oh Monsters

A hit card game and TV show, Yu-Gi-Oh has several memorable monsters.

5. Sorcerer of Dark Magic

The Sorcerer of Dark Magic is one of the most powerful cards in the game. The only reason it’s not higher up in this list is because of how difficult it is to summon. Capable of negating Trap Cards while in play, as well as having an attack power to beat the legendary Blue Eyes White Dragon, the Sorcerer of Dark Magic can only be summoned by sacrificing two Spellcaster cards.

4. Blue Eyes White Dragon

The Blue Eyes White Dragon is probably the most recognisable card in the game. While weaker than the Sorcerer of Dark Magic, the Blue Eyes can be summoned normally like any other monster. With an absurdly high attack power, there are few monsters which can defeat the Blue Eyes in a fight. If facing the Blue Eyes, many players inwardly admit defeat.

3. Blue Eyes Toon Dragon

The Toon version of the Blue Eyes White Dragon unlike it’s brother card require “Toon World” to be in play. Ordinarily, this would make it a less powerful card than the normal Blue Eyes. But the Toon Dragon has the unique ability – shared by all Toon cards – that allows it to directly attack an opponents life points. Unless your enemy has toon cards of his own, this card alone is more than enough to wipe them out in one go. This ability combined with the power of a Blue Eyes makes the Toon Dragon a phenomanlly powerful card.

2. Relinquished

With no Attack Power and no Defense power, Relinquished seems like an odd choice for this list. However, Relinquished has one of the most powerful special abilities in the entire game. Relinquished can absorb any enemy card, gaining the Attack and Defense stats of that card. If RElinquished is attacked by a monster with an attack power greater than that of the absorbed monster (and hence greater than Relinquished), then the absorbed card is destroyed and Relinquished survives. Furthermore, any life point damage the Relinqished player suffers for this attack is also dealt to the attacking enemy. Ater this, Relinquished is free to simply absorb another enemy card.

1. Exodia the Forbidden One

The most powerful monster in the game, more powerful even than the Egyptian God Cards. Exodia is in fact five cards, and all five must be in your hand to summon Exodia. Once all five pieces are in your hand, you win the duel. No attacking monsters, no reducing Life Points to zero. Instant victory, a feat even the God Cards cannot match.
