How to Play Poker

Play poker!

Poker is a casino game enjoyed worldwide… millions play it every day at casinos in hotels, or just for fun.

If you don’t know how to play it, then you’ve come to the right guide! This guide will teach you (Hopefully) how to play poker well.

First, you should know that there are 4 suites. Jacks, (The clover thingys) Spades (Upside down hearts) Hearts, (Heart) and diamonds. (Diamond shaped) The order of the suites (in power) is this.

Least to Greatest:

Jacks, Diamonds, Hearts, Spades. There are also the different types of hands. Least to Greatest:

One pair (2 of one card), 2 pairs, three of a kind (three of one card), Straight, (Cards in order) flush (same type), Full House, (one three of a kind, one one pair) Four of a kind, (4 of the same card ex. 4 9’s) and straight flush (Both a flush and straight)

OK, you know the order of the hands and suites, now, how do you play?

Rules:

In classic poker, everyone receives 3 cards. They then play one of the 3 cards, and whoever’s card is highest, they will go first.

The dealer then deals the cards, one by one. The person with the highest amount of cards will get the first card, then in chronological order with the rest. After each card is dealt, people see which place has the highest ranking card. From greatest to least: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. Whoever here has the highest card, they will receive the next card first. After 3 cards are dealt to everyone, this is where the fun begins. Here, you can either “bluff” or fake that you have a card you need to make other people intimidated, or you can “fold.” Folding is giving up, and just paying what you initially bet. Anyways, refer to the top for the order of hands. After you see the winner, all the bet sums go to him/her. The fun keeps going on and on and on! Keep practicing with those facial expressions if you are bluffing, since you don’t want to give it away. Hope you all learn how to play poker well with this! Don’t forget to say that you learned from this guide if you become a poker champ! No, I’m kidding. Well, good luck!!!

NOTE: if you’re in a casino, make sure you’re not addicted! People have lost millions of dollars by trying to win in Poker far too much.
