How to get better, or at least be able to hit the numbers.

Getting Started

OK so everybody knows it about concentration but then people just throw at the board which is wrong! When playing even if you are just practicing always have a goal! It will make sure that you keep your concentration and that you don’t end up just flinging darts at the board.

Second what i will say is about stance. It needs to be a solid stance not two stiff though make sure you are comfortable but most of all steady. If you are unsteady then the difference between each dart is incredible. OK after this you should be able to hit the single of your choice. Remember though that to practice over and over again in order to get better, it is a must

Finishing

Now lets get down to matches and scoring: Right so now we are able to at least keep it in the part of the board that we want, but to become good more is needed, triples yes of course you need to get that number down quick. What most people find is that they try so hard to hit a treble that everything else goes out the window….stance and a steady head. Firstly just become happy to be able to hit the number and the triples will come….trust me if you are consistently able to hit 60 or 57 then you will be doing well anyway.

Don’t focus so much at them just aim for the treble but make sure to at least hit the single… and last but not least is the doubles!!!practice these as much as you can because even if you can hit 180 all the time you can still lose if it takes you 9 or 10 darts at a double. Good ways to practice include playing around the world on singles then do doubles then trebles. Also when warming up throw for the bull as much as you can it will give you a good range on the board. Such things as lighting etc will effect you and it is great to play against people you don’t know and in different surroundings! Now that’s my word hope it helps!!!
