$100 double stack Freezout, $10 dollar Rebuy.
Won seat in double stack freezeout by virtue of some good play in STT’s today.
House to myslef once little lad was put to bed and decide to log on and play the 100 dollar double stack freezeout. Am more than capable of sitting down and not playing hands for fist number of levels unless absolutely premium hands.
I playing a latish position with a number of limpers and have A 7 suited which in my own head is a very poor hand and a hand that can get u into a huge amount of trouble and therefore should be folded immediately. However, for some reason (and against my better judgement) id decided that I would limp for the 30 chips and unless I catch a huge part of the flop, I will be folding to any bets. Unfortunately for, I caught a huge part of the flop and ran into an idiot who could not gold top pair.
Flop come A Q2 (2 hearts). I am now praying for somebody to be the flop and thought to myself if this is bet I am re raising and more than happy to get this in with anyone knowing that the 3rd heart will double me up.
The villian sitting to my right makes a pot sized bet (Euro 180) making the pot 360. I repot to 715 thinking he must fold unless he has made 2 pair thinling that it is unlikely he has made A Q or A 2 on the basis of AQ is a raise from his latish position and unlikely he is playing A2 (albeit I should not have ben playing A7). The villian thinks and decides to call. The turn is a blank and he leads out again for 1/3 pot. now I am hating this bet as I know have to call. That is, I am getting exactly the odds I need with river to come to call. River comes a six (no heart). I am now praying the the villian checks this to me as we haev a pot of over Euro 2k and all i have is top pair. Unfortunately, he puts in a bet of euro 200. Now espite knowing I am behind, I have to call as there is so much money in there. I{magine my disugust, when he turns over A6. Rivered a six to bust me.
4 hands later, same guy’s 88 held up against my AK shove on BB to a number of limpers. I guess thats poker.
After that i joined the 10 dollar 35k double stack. Despite being card dead for a number of hours I managed to finish in 25th (1500 runners – very good effort). Eventually, went out when an UTg raise (equal to my stack value – blinds 20k and 40k) put me all in with KK. I thought i might treble up when the BB called and the flop came J high only to find that my kk had run into AA and JJ.
