The first tip is to play tight which is one of the best ways of playing in tournaments that have a lower amount of money so this will guarantee you greater success when you decide to play a hand instead of playing every hand and losing very quickly. You really should only play hands that are classed in the best hand category of the game which include cards like ace and king, ace queen, ace jack and king and queen and all connecting suits. This is the hardest tip to keep too as you normally have a flutter of adrenaline and decide to play a hand as you are bored of waiting so you do require a certain degree of patience. However if you are able to master this then you will greatly increase your chances of winning.

The second tip is to play aggressively when you are dealt the hand that you are going to play. It is pointless calling and just waiting to see what other players are going to do or bet as this is a wasted opportunity. If you have a good hand like an ace and king then you should bet heavily as this will make a more of the opposition fold before the flop has been drawn which takes out more of the competition. Do not think that just because you have an ace and a king that you are automatically going to win the hand as someone with a weaker hand can beat you but it puts you in a strong position and if the flop goes your way then you should be onto a winner.
