Darkness is eternal. Darkness is the most terrifying and most mysterious of all the so called mystical elements such as light, water, earth, fire, wind etc. Darkness is everlasting. The Dark can never be truly destroyed as light itself casts shadows on things such as buildings and cars. The Dark can hide things that aren’t meant to be seen.

Darkness isn’t pure, it is the opposite of light, which is pure, which is associated with purity and holiness, while the Dark is associated with things such as demons, were-wolves that come out during a full moon which is in darkness, as well as vampires, ghosts, ghouls, shadows,  that possibly wander around the earth during the night. Darkness is the absence of light, just as cold is the absence of heat.

Light is also eternal. Light can be the source of life as in the light and heat that comes from the sun that gves life to the plants that live in the soil. In turn that gives food for the animals that live and walk on the planet amongst each other.

Light is associated with the divine, angels, God who breathed life into humans as such. Light is associated with heaven itself.
