The Best Online RPG’s
A rating of my favorite online role-playing games, or at least the best and worst ones I have played.
I’ve played many online RPG’s, but some seem to “shine” more than others.
This is a review of many of the games I have played, so you can pick the best one for you.
ADVENTURE QUEST
This was the first online RPG I had ever played and I was instantly hooked. I played it for a few years. What makes it stand out from other such games is the graphics – instead of flashy 3D graphics, it used 2D flash graphics. This is actually a good thing, because it means there is more gameplay, as all that hard time and money isn’t spent on a few hours of 3D gameplay. There are literally hundreds of quests available, and often they run co-operative wars and events where thousands of people take part from all over the world.
Rating: 8/10
DRAGONFABLE
This game is the sequel to the before mentioned Adventure Quest. It features slightly improved graphics and gameplay, with a unique battle system that sets it apart from all others. It is fun and exciting. The only downside is that there is a lot of content which you must pay to use.
Rating: 7/10
RUNESCAPE
This game you either love, or hate. A lot of people put it down for it’s nit-so-good Java 3D graphics, but they have a reason for this: Runescape is designed to be playable from even the oldest of personal computers, and on the slowest internet connections. It has many thousands of active players and is a true MMORPG. The main downside is the extremely small amount of free-player content, and the fact you have to pay a monthly fee that is quite expensive at $5 a month.
Rating: 7/10
GUILD WARS
This is by far my favorite MMORPG. It has one of the best storylines in my opinion, and while you have to pay for it, you do not have to pay monthly like many other MMORPG games sold in stores. It has hundreds of quests and many exciting “co-operative missions” involving teams of up to 8 real players, or, if you do not like that sort of thing, you and 7 computer-controlled “henchmen”.
Rating: 9/10
SHERWOOD RPG
This game would be good if there was a good team behind it, I reckon. The graphics are good, but it is not a proper MMORPG. To me it seems more like a chat client with graphics. You cannot save your game, there are no user accounts, and there is hardly ever anybody else online.

Shut up, RuneScape is a great game, you just have to be a member to get anywhere, like the OP said.

Runescape was a great game but THEY R CHARGING TO MUCH MONEY!! Thats why I dont like it so much anymore!

I’ve been playin RuneScape for about a year, but the loss of good pvp content has led me to want to change to a different rpg. Are there any good ones you guys recommend with decent pvp gameplay, but also good graphics, storyline, etc.

lol avennture quest is only 4/10 sucky graphics, gameplay, and combat. its 20$ for mem. lol and stupid names and click click click click click. wow the creator must love clicking and buttons. you fight like a drunken monkey!! dont even try!

Guild Wars is a great game for PvP, though if you prefer the old RS style of looting enemies and player killing, then it’s not for you.

Y’all, Runescape is best game ever. if you don’t like it, don’t play. I played runescape for 4 years now, and I am personal trainer to noobies. I love every part of Runescape. If I had money, I would’ve brought Jagex!

Rs is the most lamest if not the most worthless rpg wanna be game.The graphics are poor quality even though they updated. The whole point to the game is to be the best but you can never be because of hackers that get in fast than a man on man pills but I do say rs was “ok” (key word ok) because you can trade as a human. but the upgrade made the whole game run as a robot of a foringen government but thats just me I say that WoW is a good game but why dont you stick with you gaming system if you cant aford one (work) but if your young work in a paper route of something because our generation is going to the lazy fatty side of rememberents but We as young boys to adult teens are going to face the reality that its just a fake life and we need to grow up.

I am soo surprisd that world of warcraft is not up there on that list. If any of the games above had some one who could tame a pet like a hunter then i would be fine with the list.

Nowhere Else and Beyond should also be added as real 2D MMORPG, even if it’s not up to pair to a WoW, but it doesn’t require any installation (not even Java), works just with your browser, and you don’t need to pay anything to play.

The trade limit in RuneScape is += 60k not 3k

I think the # they gave runescape is ok. I mean, it\’s fun at the beginning but as time goes on things start to suck
