When looking at old game systems, such as the Atari, Playstation, and even to the N64, there are many good things about these systems, but then again, there are some bad things.

Pros:

1. Even though these systems may seem outdated, you should remember that they are what got us into this generation of PS3, Xbox360, and Wii.
2. You have to admit, some of those games were pretty fun.
3. Who could forget Pong? Pong is what started gaming as we know it.
4. Controls were way easier to figure out. You basically had like what? Three to four buttons, now you have almost 12 to remember.

Cons:

Like everything in this world though, it has to have it’s cons.

1. Sure the graphics were a little on the bad side, but the technology wasn’t there to help out with that when these were mass produced.
2. Gameplay was a little on the boring side with these too. Some games were pretty pixilated and now with the new systems, they are full of graphics that are non-pixilated.
3. Sound is much better on newer systems.

Those are just some of the many different pros and cons about old gaming systems. And now onto how these old systems shaped what we now have today.

Yeah, I know, some people won’t give up their old game systems, which is fine. Seeing as what they were, is what systems are now. But Pong, it was just the tip of the iceberg for what gaming is today. If your still playing an old game system, I’m not telling you to give it up, I’m simply just saying you should try the new systems out there today, if you don’t like it, then you don’t. But you can’t live in the past forever.
