Are You Ready to Learn for Free at MIT?
This is about M.I.T. university web univerisity and its courses in p.d.f. form.
Got you hooked right? Learning for free doesn’t mean it comes with a certificate! This is the website created by
But before you flip out, Know this. Going to http://ocw.mit.edu/index.html gives you the opportunity to view the list of over 1900 courses and over 47 occupations for free. These materials contain audio, video and a lot of material in even translated format! Selecting any one of the courses will lead you to materials that even most African universities could kill for if they knew it was for free on the internet.
The website generally is an open courseware and a free publication reflecting all their undergraduate and graduate subjects taught at MIT. It claims its not an M.I.T. education neither does it provide access to thier faculties or reflect total entire content of the courses they provide there. But the best part is – you don’t need to register there at all to access any of these.
You can read and download all of their materials for free but you are told to recognize and acknowledge where you got it from when you are making use of their material. And while you are downloading their materials; like on creative writing or computer science, maybe civil engineering (I saw so much I thought I was right in the university without wall) do them a favor…donate something. Anything. Such knowledge is needed for the underprivileged (what I call under-web, and library-deficient nations orm people, okay enough. And those who hate to buy books, Oops). And all this comes at a heavy cost. Now let me go back to my writing course there.
