College Admission Procedure.
College admissions are now going to be a tough & competitive & it will more competitive over the coming years. Every career bound students want to go to a sophisticated college because sophisticated economy means a high & sophisticated education. For this reason there is always a pool of shortage in that so called sophisticated colleges, because they are not increasing their class sizes & seats. There is always a competition for a fixed number of seats. So the students are applying at least six to seven different colleges for college admission.
Procedure:
You are now a junior school student and surely you are looking to selecting the college at your choice. Pick at least 3 to 4 colleges & collect forms. There may be a long queue but you have to stand on the queue. Before standing on the queue you first read the college admission rules & regulations. Every college has their own guide lines for admission of a new students & fees of admission. If you’re junior school score match the college guidelines & money is not a problem stand on the queue collects the form & applies early. Some colleges may conduct the admission test and some colleges admit the students seeing their scores & personal interview.
You will need an attractive cover letter, references from your teacher along with application forms. Also you must disclose your all activities that you are involved with. If you are a class monitor or participate in any debt competition or involved in any volunteer organization you must mention. Let the college knows your activity. You briefly mention all the things in cover letter & also mention your future programme & how you want to be a good prospective student for the college. If you have got a bad score in some particular subject honestly disclose it why it is lower. But remember it is important to be specific & it is also important not to give any inappropriate matter in your personal statement.
Above all it is important that your writing must represent your voice. It is not to clinical or dry. Express you in a very positive, intelligent & creative way and you will be on your road to success.
College Admissions-In India
Obviously, there is anticipation to joining college and enjoying life with greater freedom after completing school course. This time various question come to the mind, which colleges are right, which is the best courses & also the meeting the cut off percentage for different colleges. Many colleges in India are conduct admission tests, based on which students are short listed. The lowest average cut off marks in science & art colleges in India is generally 50% to 60% varies from college to colleges. There are special admission quotas for Christian students & reserve seats for students under the SC/SCT category.
