Online College Life
My reasons why I chose to do go to an Online College.
During my high school years I wanted to go to college to do something in my life besides working for pennies. After a year of highschool I decided I didn’t want to go to a big college because I was already tired of dealing with other students and sitting down in boring classes. So I decided to go to a school called the Career Center while in high school. I wanted to become a Cosmetologist. I loved styling hair and making others feel good about their selves. My Junior and Senior year I worked on receiving my Cosmetology License. Before graduating high school I got them and was very proud of myself. Soon after that I realize that is not something I want to do for the rest of my life. Then again I still didn’t want to go to college and have to sit in class after class like high school. When I graduated I stuck it out for a year or so. I did planned to go to a Tech school near me, but I ended up having a baby.
I knew I had to work and take care of my responsibilites. Finally, I was just tired of working for people that can careless about me and my family. I searched online for an online college that I could attend. I found one of course. I am currently attending a school in Virginia and I think it is the best thing that has every happened to me. I can work, take care of my baby and do what I have to do without going to a school building. Some people say that it is a bad thing to go to an online college because you will become lazy and don’t do your work. My response to that is…. If you stay focus then you will do your work with no problems. If it is something you want to do then you will do it and continue until your reach your goals. Honestly, it is a decision that you have to make that will be best for you. Not anyone else. From my point of view…I think online college life is great. The teachers are there to help you whenever you need them.
They work with you if you have a situation or anything personal. At my school you can join online programs that has something to do with your major. Also at my school they started an online sorority. I think that was the best thing they could have ever done. You can get to know other people from all over that you may have some things in common with. I am not saying that you can’t do none of this at a regular college. I was just saying what goes on at the college I attend. Basically, you need to do what best fit your lifestyle. It’s a personal decision and don’t let others stop your from striving after your goals.
