To start with, Ham radio’s (also called amateur radio) you must take a 35 question test (called the technician test)and get 26 correct. You do not need to know Morse code!

The test is pretty simple but you would still need to study. I recommend buying the technician test study book and clicking here to go to a very cool study website.

When you pass look through the Internet to find a good radio, battery, power supply, and antenna.

There are 2 other tests, general and then Extra.

Both of them are pretty hard and for extra you must know Morse code.
