What you need:

• Half a cup of salt
• 1 cup plain flour
• Two dessert spoons of cream of tartar (optional but recommended)
• 1 cup water
• 1 tbsp cooking oil
• Two drops of any food coloring

(Australian metric measurements used.)

What to do:

1. Place all ingredients into saucepan.
2. Cook mixture on low heat and stir constantly.
3. After about four minutes, when you have a good mix, take saucepan off heat and scoop contents into a plastic bowl.
4. Cool for five minutes.
