I suggest you only play flash games or open source games. These games are easy to master, and help you get away from reality a little. They could also give you a chance to unwind.

Read them for fun not for actually improving yourself. Amateurs write most of them on ego trips. If you take it too seriously, you let the people who made fun of you in high school do it all over again!
