How to Get Free Microsoft Software

This software ia free, is legal, and comes directly from Microsoft, but you must be a student in High School or College to get this.

This is DreamSpark.  DreamSpark is a program created by Microsoft so that students in High School and College have an opportunity to enhance students’ skills which would later benefit other ‘tech’ companies by teaching them coding in C# (C Sharp), C++, Java, Servers (A server Operating system), and Virtual PC’s.

Assuming you meet the prerequisite of being a student in High School/College, you should proceed to visit the DreamSpark website.  It’d be a good idea from there to read the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions), and then click the link that directs you to the sign-up/downloads page.  You should see a link at the bottom to download.  It should be dimmed and unclickable, but there is a verify button to the right off it.  Click that and you’ll be shown a three-step verification page.  First click your continent, then your country.  The third part is the most important part and is where you’re most likely to encounter a problem.  You need to choose your school or enter a verification code (if your school wasn’t on the list.).  If your school (If you’re in college, you shouldn’t need to worry), then select your school and you’re ready to go.  But if you’re in high school, there’s a pretty decent chance you won’t find it on the list.  You then need to add your school to the list.  You have to talk to your school’s administration, convince then to sign up (It’s absolutely free to sign up too!), and distribute a maximum of 200 keys which can be used only once.

Once verified, you will be able to download any of the provided software (Which usually costs around 100 dollars each) for free.
