Five Attention Grabbers

Five Attention Grabbers

Want a quick fix for attention grabbing? Well, you can always pique interest by means other than what you say to people. It may seem shallow, but these are tested ice breakers for meeting new people.

  1. Glasses

It seems that most people today wear glasses, and while there are many different styles to choose from, some stand out more than others. Sure, you have to wear your glasses every day, and it only makes sense to have ordinary ones so that you don’t have to worry too much about seeming out of place. However, a snazzy pair of specs can improve anyone’s style and, of course, generate a great deal of interest.

  2. Vintage T-Shirts

T-shirts are all fine and dandy, and there’s a vast universe of styles and patterns, but the vintage tee is a winner in my books. Not only are they easy to wear and match with other clothes, they’re out of the ordinary and can definitely rouse a discussion over who has seen what classic.

  3. Piercings

I’m not suggesting that you plug yourself full of holes or that you have to have piercings. I’m suggesting that you could get any sort of piercing that you find appealing, and see what people say. Many people only get piercings to be “unique” but that isn’t exactly going to work anymore. You’re bound to find someone with the exact same piercing as you’ll get, so if you decide to get one, get one you’ll like no matter what.

  4. Hairdo

People always hate their hair. No matter what they tell people, they’re always wishing it had turned out different. I myself have a hard time keeping a hairdo that I like, and probably have fried my hair to oblivion. Of course, you don’t have to have dyed or bleached hair to get attention (though is effective). Any hairdo can catch people’s interest depending on one major factor: it must be nice. Everyone generally has different opinions of what’s nice, but as long as your hair isn’t greasy you’re probably set.

  5. A Statement

The very best way to get a conversation going is to have something out there that broadcasts your views. This way, you’ll have all kinds of people who may share your view or want to know more about it, and you can then educate them. Your message can be anything, though I’d like to think you’ll have a message that doesn’t spread anything hateful, but it is your choice.
