I think kids like to play computer games for different reasons than adults. Here are a couple of reasons for you to consider, next time your child asks you, if he can play.

1. Computer games are fun. Kids can be different people or characters in these games.

2. Some computer games are educational. For example,  a four year old can learn to count with Elmo and he can learn the colors with Dora’s computer games.

3. Kids like the games based on movies they have seen.

4. Kids like how the game looks on the computer screen. For example, the bright colors and the drawings can influence a kid when he has to decide which game he should play.

5. Kids can do so many things when they play a computer game. They can jump big mountains, run real fast, go through tunnels and teleport to places far away.

Remember, kids will always be kids, and will always like to do things to have fun. So, let them play every day, for at least a short period of time.
