A List of What Not to Do When Home Alone

A List of What Not to Do When Home Alone

The titles explains it all.

As a kid, what are the things we shouldn’t do when home alone?

  1. Don’t play with the stove. — The last time I played with the stove, I almost burnt down our house. I got into so much trouble that my mom took away my Internet privileges for a month. Where is the justice? I mean, I just wanted to cook eggs, it wasn’t my intention to actually burn down a quarter of the kitchen, right? But yeah, without an adult, one should not play with the stove. Even if you’re so hungry and you reach the point when you’re in the midst of dying, you still shouldn’t make an attempt to touch it.
  2. Don’t touch the circuit breaker. — I think I’d rather not talk about it, just don’t touch it.
  3. Don’t play with your dad’s shaver.— Yeah, do you know the Gillette shaver? My dad had one. He usually leaves it in the bathroom. So, when they were out to the market, I kinda played with it. I ended up shaving half of my eyebrow. I looked weird.
  4. Don’t turn on all electricity powered devices all at the same time.— Yes, when my parents were out, I wanted to have a little party, I turned on the television, the radio, all the lights, the DVD Player, the computer, the printer and more. After a few minutes or so, boom. It suddenly went dark and quiet. Looks like I overheated the circuit breaker. Oops. Though it wasn’t intentional, I still got in trouble and was severely punished by my parents who had power over me.
  5. Don’t run with scissors.— Just don’t do it. Its dangerous, okay?
  6. Don’t let in strangers in your house.— Yep, you’ll never know, they could be thieves, murderers, your teacher, the principal, an alien in disguise or worse a vegetable in disguise. You’ll never really know. But it’s better to stay in the safe side.

If you follow these things, you won’t get in trouble, and you’ll be safe— from your parent’s wrath. Haha.

Good advice. I’ll pass this on to the grands. That’s what Grandmas do, right?
