Perhaps the most significant thing that a student learns is classroom writing. It is essential for everyone in the society to read and write. It is possible to manage even if you don’t have the basic skills in math or mechanics or a sense of direction, in the contemporary society. It will become tough for you if you are not able to write a paragraph or compile your thoughts in a well. Classroom writing aims to help people become good writers and thinkers.

Some years back I used to conduct workshop for classroom writing for children who were schooled at home. This helped me learn more about the procedure of teaching writing. It is essential to produce relaxed writing surroundings for the classroom. Many public schools don’t think on this line, but if you have this it will influence the work you do. I prefer to have a classroom with an informal ambiance and decorate it with handwork done by students and inspiring posters. I enjoy having different kinds of material for the students to use for classroom. It can be colored pen, peculiar notebooks, ruled or plain or whatever they like. It does not matter as long as the kids are able to do quite legible and intelligent work.

I felt when I began that the writing instructions for the classroom will have to differ depending on age of the person you teach, but once I had been teaching for some time, I was amazed to discover that same techniques worked very well with a large group of people. One of the important things in classroom writing is to excite the students about work, and this should be done in the right way. I share my passion for writing and even some of my work with them. I even read aloud the piece, highlighting the exciting or moving sections of the story. It also helps to talk about literature with them, asking them to contribute their thoughts. I am able to achieve success by keeping them involved in the process of writing.

The techniques of writing are also very important when you teach students. You cannot be taken seriously if you don’t know the spellings or the grammar part of writing. The best time to talk about the technique is when the students have already got excited about other things. It is best to get them involved in the story they are working on and then bring in the lesson in punctuation.
