Firstly, this is not a rant.

This site is a wonderful idea, providing people with an incentive to write as they gain money. However, don’t forget why you’re really here, if you enjoy writing, don’t forget that you do, the chance of money leads us down the path of churning out lots of mediocre pieces when a lot of thought could be put into one.

Sure the chance of money increases as we churn out more and more pieces of work, but it’s more enjoyable for the readers to read something worth enjoying. Remember this is not aimed at anyone in particular, just my two cents.
