Looking for some cute but simply ideas for your child’s Halloween costume that you can make yourself in a limited amount of time? Here is one simple idea that is sure to get a lot of ohhs and awws and maybe even an extra hand full of candy for your little darling.

Make your child a flower, or if you have several children you can make an entire garden of them!

The main part of the costume can be anything green. Fuzzy pajamas to help keep them warm on a chilly Halloween night, tights and tee shirts for that school party, even turtlenecks and stretch pants it doesn’t matter as long as it is green and gives the idea of a stem and leaves.

For the flowering part itself, simply take a large piece of color poster board. Any bright color will do, pink, red, yellow, purple, blue the choice is up to you. Why not pick your child’s favorite color and go from there.

Now using a pencil or marker simply draw out petals. Nice long petals work best but you can make any kind of petals you choose.

Cut out the flower design.

Now comes the hard part. Place the flower you just cut out on the floor and have your child lay down centering his or her head in the middle of flower. Trace around his head making the tracing slightly larger than his head.

Cut out the oval you have traced and fit it over your child’s face so that the flower encircles the face, and the face becomes the flowers center.

You can attach a piece of elastic that will fit around the back of the head if you feel the flower will slip.

There you go a simple easy costume that took just minutes to complete and makes your adorable child look even more adorable!
