Now days, kids in first grade really need their parents help. Every year our society expects more from them and teachers have to do their jobs. It is important that our little six years old understands that we will  always be there for them. In order to help our kids, we  need to know what first grade is all about. Here is a list of things that now days some kids will have to do  for  homework in first grade, every week.1. Write ten words  three times each. 2. Write the ten words in alphabetical order. 3. Write a sentence with each word. 4. Write each word using color pencils. This is call rainbow writing.5. Complete a math worksheet everyday. 6. Read a passage or children book everyday.7. Study for a Reading exam and Spelling exam. These exams will be once a week.  In addition to these things, they will probably have two special projects, each semester. Also, they will  they will take Math, Social Studies and Science exams every two weeks. For some kids, getting used to do all these work is easy. For other kids this amount of work is too much.  It is important that the parents of kids that have some type difficulty in kindergarten, understand that their kids will need their patience and help even more in first grade. Remember, these are our kids and they need us more than anything in the world.
