Ever wanted to finally get an “A” in English class? Well here are a few steps to help you get started.

1. Just think! Think of anything that you enjoy. It can be cars, animals, history, television, government, etc.
2. Pick a general topic. Let’s say you enjoy government. Generalize it to a topic about it. How about: “Voters should have to pass a civics test in order to vote.”
3. Narrow your subject down by choosing three or more points.
       a.) knowledge of the candidates
       b.) knowledge of the issues
       c.) knowledge of the government
4. After your points come up with examples to support your thesis and make use of the thesaurus!
