Music Improves Study
A paragraph I wrote about music and homework. It starts of okay, but at the end it gets messy.
Although many people may disagree, having music, specifically anything except for scream and comedy, play while doing homework can be quite beneficial to a students work, as it surprisingly can help keep students focused on the material at hand. Dave Johnson*, a student in the eighth grade, says that listening to music while doing his homework often helps him finish his work, because he gets less distracted by his environment. As for myself, I feel that listening to music keeps me focused and also helps me recover my place when I loose my train of thought. These two examples are quite plausible, as listening to music helps keep the mind relaxed allowing a higher rate of good idea flow. Listening to music is often viewed as a recreational activity; however it can give motivation to a students work, as a student looks toward just finishing their homework and having complete bliss in recreation. While some people may see music as a distraction, when put in the workplace of a student, it can often help a student work harder, with more focus, and with motivation. With these factors, students will tend to earn a better grade than they would without the music. Good grades are crucial in a student’s life, as better grades means that a student grasps the concept well. This knowledge of various concepts can help students go to better colleges, as they would be able to pass the examinations for colleges. By entering a better college, a student is able to get a good job, as they would have the qualifications, because music helped them grasp important concepts, giving them more knowledge. In this sense, a student can set their life up for an excellent future, by focusing on homework using music.
