Pied by Students

A sure fire way of motivating elementary students is to allow them to smash whip cream pies in your face.

What a Day!

If you are having a hard time trying to find a way to motivate others, consider taking a pie to the face. In early spring I was determined to motivate my students to work extra hard on completing extra enrichment activities, outside of their expected curriculum standards. I thought that I would have 1 or 2 pies to my face. To my surprise I had 7 eager students ready to participate. During the last week of school I set aside a day to get so very sticky, all for the kids. The second graders set up a perimeter around me. I gave each of the students that earned the privelage a paper plate and a can of whip cream. I thought that they would spray some on the plate and pass the can around for another student to use. Boy was I wrong. Each of them filled their plate with a mountain of whip cream. Some even used an entire can, on one plate! Slowly they pulled their arm back, ready to take aim. I could hear snickers and giggles all around.

SPLAT! The first whip cream pie smashed in my face. A roar overcame the playground as the class laughed. Next thing I new I had one pie after another. Whip cream was in my eyes, up my nose, and covering me like glue. Finally, the last student had her chance. The students were all standing and cheering for her to get me good. She plopped it on my face and rubbed it all around. I pulled my hands up to wipe my face when, BAM, she got again with her plate. LOL some how she still had whip cream on it and decided that I needed it all. Talk about fun. The students worked sooooo hard to earn this opportunity and the other students were in awe, many who came just a few points shy. I will never forget this experience and neither will most of my students. This year I will see how well it works for the fifth graders.

I have a real question do you really get paid on this website or is it just more for fun. Because mine said 0.04 cents today.I don’t really understand
