School Stress

School Stress

I am a 13 year old girl, and I want ever other teenager out there to know that they are not alone. Everyone feels stressed once in a while- or everyday.

School was so easy last year.  I would do my homework in less than 30 minutes, and then get on with life.  That was seventh grade.  Now I am in eighth grade, and everyday when I get home I feel panicked and stressed.  How on earth am I going to finish up all of this homework? The answer to this question is almost always: Stay up late.  With that stated, every morning when I get up, I am as tired and dead-like as a brick.  This causes my day to not fufill its full potential, causing my homework after school to be two times as hard.

If you are in awe of how similar this is to your life, than from this moment on I want you to know something: Everyone is stressed in life, no matter waht they tell you.  It may be a minor amount, or it may be three times as bad as the amount of stress you are going through, but always know it is human to feel stressed.  When should you be worried? The moment you arent stressed.  Why? -Because when that moment erupts you will know that you have nothing to do.  NOTHING TO DO? Do you know what this means? It means you are not living.  You are not participating in anything- you are not having fun- you are not STRESSED.  Therefore, you are not living.

Time is taken up by school.  The moments you don’t have school, you are working on hw.  The moments you are not in school, or doing homework, you are doing some other type of activity.  You will remained stressed through all of this.  Stress can easily be defined as questioning what you are going to do next, but it can also be defined as ‘having a mental break down.’  When you participate in an activity, you are thinking.  When you think, you are truthfully stressed.  The moment you declare you are not stressed is the moment where I will take a step away from you and think: You must not be human!

You are a pretty good writer for 13, however you should have no stress. what can be better than no rent or bills to pay? enjoy your youth, you only get to be a teenager once.

Clafleuf is absolutely right. You should have no stress at 13. School is not nearly as hard for you as it was for me. I delivered over 200 newspapers after school everyday and I had to wake up at 2:00am on the weekends to deliver more newspapers before the sun came up. I wrote for my school newspaper and I played football. I was very dead-like but do you know what kept me going? “Dedication and I told myself that I would not have to do this forever. I was only 13 just like you. I graduated at 17 because I was skipped in 8th grade. I am now out of school at 17 and I am able to relax and do what I want so stay dedicated and work hard. You will definitely succeed. Keep up the great work

I remember what it’s like to be in high school. Don’t let people tell you that you can’t be stressed at your age. When I was 18 and a senior in high school, my dad was convinced that I couldn’t possibly be stressed, even though I was also working and taking college classes in addition to high school. Everyone has stress, people are just stressed about different things at different ages.

I believe you are stressed. I do however, disagree that you thinking makes you stressed. Writing requires thinking and it is what I do to help relieve stress.

I think you need to find a way to relieve some of the stress you are feeling. You need to get rest and relax a little.
