Study Tips: Foldable
Why Foldables Are Helpful.
A foldable is a fun way of taking notes.
I chose to create a foldable. This is where you fold a piece of paper into a way that will help you display your information. I divided it into two sections because the Western Civilization test will be over two chapters.
On the front of each section there is a picture that illustrates what the chapter is about. I drew a cave painting of a bull. The early humans used to draw on their walls to show what happened that day. Under the tab, there is a list of vocabulary definitions and main ideas. The words are highlighted so that they are easily accessible. This can also help you with being able to quiz yourself. You just cover the orange and quiz yourself. The main ideas summarized what happened during the chapter. This foldable will influence you most in the vocabulary area of the test.
This is proved to work because of memorization. After going through the vocabulary for a while, you start to understand what you need to word on for the test. I have gotten high grades throughout middle school, by using this method of studying. Although it takes time to create a foldable, it will repay you in grades. I plan to study using this foldable tonight because the test is tomorrow. Along with it, I will be reading through both chapters. It wouldn’t be smart to rely on the foldable because it is not an open note test. What really helps you on tests is studying 30 minutes a day a week before the test.
