In year 6 you were the biggest and oldest kids, the leaders of the school. Now you’re in new school, new surroundings and are the smallest and youngest in the school. Starting off at high school may have been exiting at first but soon the work will start to pile up and you will feel like you are going to die. Your probably thinking how would he know he’s just some weird stupid adult, firstly I’m not an adult I’m 13 year old boy in year 8 passing on my newly learned advice to the year 7s following in my footsteps.

Firstly you might be picked on by the year 10s, 11s and 12s just stay out of their way. Don’t try to take them on because you will lose. Also stay out of congested areas, because you will drop your books when your pushed and shoved then you will be kicked around and sometimes in your tender parts.

You will be give a lot of homework not so much from each individual subject but it will pile up and by the end of the day you will be thinking why do I have so much bloody homework and yes it will take you a hour or two so get as much done in class as possible. Then set a certain amount of time to do it around an hour before or after dinner. Don’t leave it to the last minute because you will forget as I have done too many a time.

If you do get bullied a lot, don’t take it but don’t go fighting and trying to beat them up because they will go get their friends. To me 10 on 1 doesn’t seem very fair. So go tell a teacher and if it keeps on happening every time you see them walk away and don’t listen to them. They are just trying to aggravate you and are trying to make you start a fight to get you in trouble.
