Trash Sculpture

Have you done your part in solving the problem about our garbage disposal? How? Every citizen, young and old can help our government and Mother Nature in minimizing our garbage every day. What discarded materials in your stock room can be used as useful finished product? Here is a very simple way that anyone can do.
Many are amazed of some products that come from garbage and disposed materials. Due to creativity, many decorative materials like wall hanging, picture frame, boxes, and other trays are seen elsewhere. Many industrious, creative, and patient people are earning income from this creative work.

For those who loved to discover are challenged to do a project of this sort. Some materials that are no longer used can still be used if we recycle them, put decorative effects and color or paint it. Several Christmas decors mostly come from these discarded materials. With our knowledge of assembling or putting together, an additive sculpture can be done. Just collect some of the light discarded materials which were thrown as trash and let us make them as a new object that can be useful to us.
This project is called a “Trash Sculpture” and is very easy to do. This simple decorative project can provide us with satisfaction and at the same time can help in recycling. Imagine if all school kids in the world would do such project as this one, we could imagine how much resources is saved and recycled.
Materials to prepare.
15 to 20 pieces of light materials as trash. Such materials can be broken glass, small can of milk, chocolate boxes, etc. A glue gun. A pair of scissor. A 4×4 inches ply wood or an old illustration board. A spray paint of different colors.
Procedure.
- Prepare the light trash materials that you have, at least 15. assort the small, medium and big materials.
- Get the 4×4 inch illustration board. Make it as a base.
- Select from the heavy materials the base trash of sculpture.
- Paste the next big materials until you form a block.
- Be sure to glue or paste the objects until you form a design.
- Glue all the materials up to the topmost part of the sculpture.
- Test if it stands firm. If it falls down, add heavy materials and arrange them artistically.
- To add the beauty of your design spray different paint color in every side until you are contented with your work.
- Make an appropriate title for your work.
