10 Ways To Get Noticed in High School

10 Ways To Get Noticed in High School

If you are one of those people at the bottom of the social ladder, use these techniques to get you climbing.

  1. Bring Up Random Topics For Class Discussion

Raise your hand and ask a really good “why” question that doesn’t have a specific answer. This usually leads to more things, which can get people’s attention, and maybe even skip lessons

  2. Disagree With a Teacher

When you hear a teacher say his/her opinion, and you don’t agree with it, make yours heard. The others will think that you are really assertive and have your own mind. Make sure that you have reasons to back your opinion up, or you will look like a fool.

  3. Pretend You Do Not Understand Something

Use this very rarely, or people will just think that you are dumb. Look really confused and say things like “I have no clue what we’re doing”. Wait for a student to help you, and then say that you understand.

  4. Ask Someone Out

This technique can be the hardest and most embarrassing. Flirt with someone when they are alone, but make it very smooth. Get to talk with that person’s friends, then ask them. Getting rejected for a date can give just as much attention as getting accepted.

  5. Keep Extra Pencils Around

Now, don’t overdo this one. I’m sure that you’ve seen that nerd carrying a bag of pencils everywhere he goes. Just keep an extra one or two with you, so that when someone doesn’t have one, you can give it to them. If they don’t return it, do not make a big deal out of it at all. They will remember eventually.

  6. Show Off Your Cell Phone

Let’s face it – everybody envies an awesome cell phone. Don’t let it become the center of your universe though; let other people use it if they want to.

  7. Throw Awesome Birthday Parties

Invite ten or more people to your birthday parties, and have tons of stuff to do there. The most popular birthday activities are swimming, football, truth or dare, and just talking. Don’t let people get bored at all.

  8. Give $20 In Every Birthday Card You Hand Out

Everybody wants money. Gift cards are okay, but they limit what that person can buy. Don’t let someone think that you are cheap.

  9. Stay Cool

Even if it’s the end of the world, don’t run around crying like a baby. Save your emotions until you get home. People won’t take you seriously if they are too busy feeling sorry for you. Say things like “Yeah, whatever” when something bad happens to you.

  10. Be Interested in What Other People Do

When someone has an awesome talent, make them feel good. Ask questions about it like how they got it and how long they’ve been doing it. You want to make them feel unique though, so don’t try and copy them.

If you follow these steps carefully and patiently, you will become very popular. Just try to stay humble about it so you’re not a popular jerk.s

I like this, nice tips. I just finished high school and I can say for sure that this is an awesome list, with a lot of things I never thought of as being important.
